Navarre CERT...

Volunteers from all walks of life, coming together to help out our neighbors in times of celebration and emergencies.

Navarre CERT Donation Needed

When Navarre CERT was created in 2005, the Santa Rosa County Emergency Operations Center donated a 1985 Chevy Suburban which we used to tow our supply trailer as well as provide visual advertisement for CERT and our various sponsors.

Over the years, even with regular maintenance, the Suburban has deteriorated to the point of becoming unsafe to drive.  We even had to deny an event at Whiting Field due to the SUV being inoperable during the time period requested.

We are now in search of a replacement vehicle that could be donated to Navarre CERT.  This replacement vehicle should be capable of towing at least a 4,000-pound trailer.  Unfortunately, since we are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, we do not have the funds to purchase a vehicle even if it is used.  We do have funding to cover registration fees and regular maintenance.  Arrangements could also be made to place a logo on the vehicle acknowledging the donation.

So, we are looking to the community for leads on a new(er) vehicle.  If anyone has any information or perhaps has a vehicle that might work for us, please send an email to coordinator <at> navarrecert.org.  Remember…all donations are tax-deductible.
